FxPro EUR/USD — Spread, Cost, Swap and Volatility (Measured) | Kenya 2026
A measured profile of trading EUR/USD at FxPro — spread, all-in cost, overnight swap, volatility and execution, from our own Raw+ feed.
Open FxPro Account →EUR/USD is the cheapest place on this account to see the whole cost stack at once. The entry is charged as a spread, and at about $10 a pip on a standard lot the measured figure above converts straight into cash. On Raw+ and cTrader $3.50 per lot per side is added at either end of the trade. Every night the position survives, the rollover applies a swap, tripled on Wednesdays. Nothing else on the money path is instrument-specific: the $100 minimum deposit, the same-method payout rule and the inactivity fee after 6 months apply whatever you trade.
On our measured Raw+ data, FxPro's EUR/USD spread runs at a median of 0.2 pips and costs about $9.00 all-in per standard lot, at or below an independent interbank reference. Daily range averages 46.6 pips. The full measured profile is below.
EUR/USD spread and cost (measured)
What EUR/USD actually costs on FxPro’s Raw+ feed, measured tick by tick, and how the spread compares with an independent interbank reference feed:
| Measure | EUR/USD on Raw+ (measured) |
|---|---|
| Median spread | 0.2 pips (min 0.2, p90 0.2) |
| All-in cost / lot | $9.00 (0.9 pips break-even) |
| Commission (Raw+) | $7.00 round-turn |

When to trade EUR/USD
The hours with the most price range for the spread you pay (measured tradability), in FxPro server time with EAT in brackets:
| Best hours | Avg range | Spread |
|---|---|---|
| 17:00 (18:00 EAT) | 22.2 pips | 0.2 pips |
| 16:00 (17:00 EAT) | 14.7 pips | 0.2 pips |
| 15:00 (16:00 EAT) | 11.8 pips | 0.2 pips |
Thinnest hours, where range barely covers the spread: 02:00 (03:00 EAT), 23:00 (00:00 EAT), 00:00 (01:00 EAT). Server time is about UTC+3.
EUR/USD overnight swap and carry (measured)
What it costs (−) or pays (+) to hold EUR/USD overnight, and the net cost to hold over time (spread plus accumulated swap), per standard lot:
| Measure | Per standard lot |
|---|---|
| Swap long / night | −$8.90 (−2.79% a year) |
| Swap short / night | +$1.90 (+0.6% a year) |
| Hold long 1d / 1w / 1mo | $17.90 / $71.30 / $276.00 |
| Hold short 1d / 1w / 1mo | $7.10 / −$4.30 / −$48.00 |
| Triple swap | Wednesday night |
Carry % is the annualised swap yield; a negative hold cost means the position earns over that period. All pairs on our swap rates page.
EUR/USD volatility and daily range (measured)
How much EUR/USD actually moves — useful for sizing stops, targets and weekend risk:
| Measure | Measured (last 14 days) |
|---|---|
| Avg daily range | 46.6 pips |
| Annual volatility | 4.77% |
| Busiest weekday | Wednesday |
| Avg weekend gap | 9.6 pips |
Average daily range is the mean high-to-low; volatility is annualised from daily closes; the weekend gap is the average Friday-to-Monday jump.
EUR/USD trading character (measured)
The measured personality of EUR/USD — how it tends to move, handy when picking a strategy:
| Measure | Measured |
|---|---|
| Market style | mixed (efficiency ratio 0.23) |
| Volatility regime | stable |
| Up days | 47% |
| Best / worst day | 102 / -107 pips |
| Downside volatility | 3.1% a year |
| Carry-to-volatility | 0.126 |
Market style (trending vs mean-reverting) comes from the efficiency ratio; up days is the share of days that closed higher; downside volatility annualises only the losing days. Measured over the recent window — not a forecast.
EUR/USD order execution (measured)
How real market orders filled — speed, slippage and rejects by order size:
| Order size | Avg fill | Avg slippage | Fails |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.01 lot | 89 ms | 0.0 pts | 0 |
| 0.1 lot | 78 ms | 0.0 pts | 0 |
| 1.0 lot | 89 ms | 0.0 pts | 0 |
Small sample (a few round-trips per size); indicative.

The full cost of one EUR/USD trade, in order
Four things can take money out of an account holding this pair, and they arrive in a fixed order. The spread is taken as the order fills. On raw-pricing accounts the commission is taken at the same moment, and again on the close. The swap arrives only if the position is still open at a rollover. The inactivity fee arrives only if you stop using the account for 6 months, which is the one line trading cannot cause.
Because the first two are known before you click, the only uncertainty in the entry cost is the spread itself, and the measured tables above narrow that considerably. Multiply the figure by the pip value at your size — about $10 a pip on a full lot, $1 on a tenth, $0.10 on the 0.01-lot minimum — and you have the cash number for your own trading rather than for a standard lot you may never trade.
The measured daily range is the other half of the sum. It shows how much movement the pair ordinarily offers, so you can ask whether the cost of getting in is a small or a large fraction of what you are trading for. That question sets position size far more usefully than the available leverage does — see margin for what a size reserves and spreads for the Standard comparison.
EUR/USD from a shilling-funded account
The pair is quoted in dollars and so is the cost of trading it, which is why the base currency you pick when you open the account matters more than it looks. Your balance, your commission and your swap are all expressed in that currency, so an account held in Kenyan shilling converts on the way in and on the way out while the trading arithmetic stays in dollars.
For an account funded near the $100 minimum, that conversion is a one-off at each end of the money path rather than a per-trade cost. The per-trade costs are the ones above, and at 0.01 lots they come to cents. What deserves the attention is the number of trades, because a fixed cost per round turn multiplies by frequency and by nothing else.
The route back out is unchanged by the instrument. A payout returns by the method the deposit arrived on, FxPro states that most methods carry no withdrawal fee, and it aims to process a request within one business day. See trading hours for when each charge lands in EAT and ask the team if you want the current terms confirmed before funding.
Costing a EUR/USD trade before you place it
- Read the measured spread above and convert it with the pip value for your size.
- On Raw+ or cTrader add $3.50 per lot for the open and $3.50 per lot for the close.
- Decide how many nights the trade may stay open and count the rollovers, remembering that a Wednesday counts as three.
- Add the swap figure from your platform for the direction you are taking, scaled to your position size.
- Set the total against the measured average daily range, so you know what fraction of a normal day's move the costs represent.
- Only then choose the size, and check that the margin it reserves still leaves free balance behind.
Measured figures describe what our feed recorded; the live spread and swap in your platform are the ones you are charged.
